Congratulations to Sensei Mickey who competed last weekend at the World Police and Fire Games last weekend.  He went uncontested in his own weight/age division, so competed two age divisions younger in the 30+ division and brought home a silver medal!  We are so proud to you have represent not only GJC, but our city!  

NO GOSHINJUTSU, Friday, July 3rd or July 10th 
The JCI will be observing the holiday this Friday.  Class will resume on Friday, July 17th

Pool Party! Saturday, July 11th, 4pm at Primm Pool 
This is a free event for all GJC families.  There will be a sign-up sheet posted at the dojo for side dishes.  GJC will provide pizza, sandwiches and drinks. RSVP so we can get an accurate head count.  See Mary Fujita if you have any questions.  

Junior Referee Training Program
Thursday July 16th and 23rd 
Sensei Dan Takata will be visiting next month to train all interested judoka in becoming at junior referee. The clinic will be during the second class and will start at 7:45 pm.  Please speak with Sensei Yuki if you have any questions.

Receive a discount on registration fee if you register online.
** Nikkei Games, Sunday, August 9th, Long Beach, CA** 
** Golden State Open, August 15th & 16th, Pomona, CA**  
This is a USA Judo points tournament for all Junior competitors.
